1. Introduction

1.1. Rentaphone (referred to as "the Company," "we," "us," or "our") provides mobile device rental services to customers (referred to as "the Customer," "you," or "your") subject to the following terms and conditions.

1.2. By renting a mobile device from Rentaphone, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. Rental Agreement

2.1. The rental agreement is effective upon the commencement of the rental period and remains in effect until the rented device is returned to Rentaphone.

2.2. The rental period begins upon the delivery or collection of the device by the Customer and ends upon the return of the device to Rentaphone.

2.3. The rental fee and security deposit are payable by the Customer at the commencement of the rental period.

3. Rental Fee and Security Deposit

3.1. The rental fee is determined based on the selected rental period and device model.

3.2. A security deposit is required to cover any potential damages, losses, or late fees incurred during the rental period.

3.3. The security deposit is non-refundable in cases of theft, damage, scratches, or accidental damage to the rented device.

4. Insurance

4.1. Customers have the option to purchase insurance to protect against theft, damage, or accidental damage to the rented device.

4.2. Insurance coverage may include an excess amount, which the Customer agrees to pay in the event of a claim.

5. Protection of Personal Information

5.1. Rentaphone complies with the Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act and respects the privacy of its customers.

5.2. Rentaphone does not store or use personal data provided by customers for purposes other than facilitating the rental transaction.

6. Device Usage and Care

6.1. The rented device must be used for personal use only and not for commercial purposes.

6.2. Customers are responsible for caring for the rented device and protecting it from damage or loss.

6.3. Customers are prohibited from modifying the rented device or tampering with its hardware or software.

7. Delivery and Return

7.1. Rentaphone will deliver the rented device to the Customer's specified location or arrange for collection at a designated location.

7.2. The Customer is responsible for returning the rented device to Rentaphone at the end of the rental period.

8. Dispute Resolution

8.1. Any disputes arising from the rental agreement will be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration.

8.2. The laws of South Africa govern the terms and conditions of this agreement.

9. Miscellaneous

9.1. Rentaphone reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any changes in advance.

9.2. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between Rentaphone and the Customer regarding the rental of mobile devices.
